Dragonsani ("Drago") Renteria is Deaf Chicano Transman. He is the founder of the national Deaf Queer Resource Center. For Drago, being Queer isn't just a sexual orientation but also a culture. He is a second generation Queer. His mother is a Lesbian and one of his two siblings is Gay. He "came out" when he was 12 years old. Passionate about making a difference, he has devoted a great portion of his time over the past two decades as an activist, educator, historian, organizer and leader in the LGBTIQ Community.
